The Window Bracelet is a sculptural jewel by Paola Vilas that captures, in form and material, one of the most iconic elements of Lina Bo Bardi’s work: her organic windows, which shape not only light but also the gaze and the relationship between interior and exterior.
Inspired by the irregular openings of SESC Pompéia in São Paulo and the reinterpreted mashrabiyas from Ladeira da Misericórdia in Salvador, the piece features asymmetrical shapes that break away from traditional rigidity as if drawn freehand. More than a piece of adornment, the bracelet functions as a wearable frame, where the skin becomes an essential part of the composition.
In the Janelas collection, emptiness is just as important as the metal. Each hollowed curve reflects Lina Bo Bardi’s architectural thinking around space and transparency, translating architectural concepts into body-worn sculpture.
The Window Bracelet is a celebration of imperfect beauty, of material in dialogue with air, and of architecture as an extension of the body.
