Glass House Ring Lina Bo Bardi

The Glass House Ring is a sculptural jewel by Paola Vilas, paying tribute to the poetic transparency and subtle strength of Brazilian modernist architecture. Inspired by the Glass House the residence designed by Lina Bo Bardi amidst the lush vegetation of Morumbi the ring celebrates the dialogue between structure and lightness, between material and light.

At its center lies a unique piece of blue vidrotil a handcrafted glass mosaic tile made from pure glass and treated as a true precious gem. Its irregular surfaces and shapes reflect light in multiple directions, creating luminous effects that shift with the movement of the body.

Each tessera carries a unique texture, the result of a manual manufacturing process, giving the piece a tactile and sensorial presence. The metal, in 925 Sterling Silver or plated with 18k Gold, wraps around the glass like architecture: shaping, supporting, and at the same time allowing light to pass through.

This jewel is part of an official collaboration with the Bardi Institute.

Materials: 925 Sterling Silver or 925 Sterling Silver with 18k Gold Plating, and handcrafted blue glass mosaic (calibrated and polished).

Important to note:

All 925 Sterling Silver jewelry plated with 18k Gold requires special care and may experience changes in appearance. The gold plating is a thin layer over the silver, so contact with various surfaces, exposure to chemical substances found in creams and perfumes, and the natural pH of the skin may act as a polishing agent or react with this fine layer, gradually wearing it away and revealing the 925 Silver underneath. Once the gold plating wears off, the piece can be replated or cleaned and worn as Sterling Silver.
