The Vao Livre Lina Bo Bardi ring 18k Gold

The Vão Livre Lina Bo Bardi ring is a sculptural 18k Gold jewel by Paola Vilas, featuring hand-carved Red Jasper. It is inspired by the suspended space of the MASP (Sao Paulo Museum of Art), one of architect Lina Bo Bardi’s most iconic architectural gestures. The Vão Livre collection reinterprets this monumental feat in the form of jewelry, reimagining emptiness as a space of power and expression.

In Paola Vilas' hands, clean and elegant lines shape a central void where two Red Jasper stones are held by four delicate, gold-sculpted hands. These hands, which act as claws, evoke the handmade gesture both contrasting with and complementing the monumental scale of the original architecture.

This piece is part of an official collaboration with Instituto Bardi.
